For straightforward copywriting, I charge NUJ freelancer rates.  I charge by the hour when writing websites rather than by word count - because fewer words tend to be best for websites, and it takes longer to write shorter, as Sidney Smith - or was Pascale - said - 'I apologise for writing you such a long letter, I did not have time to write a short one.'
